Ali MacLean received the Honorable Mention from Exposition Review, a literary journal, for their Our Digital Stories series.
The collaboration between the literary journal and the digital film outlet called for short-form work set within the digital world, through the lens of a computer or a phone. This unique prompt was a reflection of the past year and how the social limitations of the pandemic also created new opportunities to tell and share our stories.
MacLean’s piece The Day It All Came Down, is a scene from her play This Will Be Our Year. The story finds Hugo and Gen, who have been separated for some time, reunited by a tragedy.
