Ali MacLean’s harrowing tale about grief, incels, and mass shootings, has made the final round of the Headwaters New Play Competition at the Creede Repertory Theatre in Colorado.
MacLean’s WATD, which was the winner of the Julie Harris Playwrights Award, is in contention for the 9th season of Headwaters, where the play would be developed with a team of professional theatre artists and receive public readings.
Headwaters aspires to be a source of new American plays that capture the comedy and tragedy of life; plays that examine the American urban/rural divide; and finally, plays that inspire the pioneering spirit that lives within us all.
