Ali begins her second year as a teaching artist with the Unusual Suspects Theatre Company.
However, this year she is happy to announce her host is Boston Court Theater in Pasadena.
Led by Artistic Director, Jessica Kubzansky, each year, Boston Court produces a season of more than 100 exciting performances in theatre and music, including an Emerging Artists Series and a New Play Reading Festival. BC also showcases rotating visual art exhibits that complement the themes of the music and theatre programming.
The young students in Ali’s Youth Theatre Conservatory program will be able to rehearse and perform on the Boston Court stage. Their first semester will focus on playwriting, and second semester will be performance centered.
The Unusual Suspects Theatre Company is a nonprofit arts organization that bridges systemic inequalities in the lack of arts access in LA through tuition-free high quality arts programs focused specifically on amplifying original voices. Focused on the live theatre space, The Unusual Suspects aims to create a stage for a new generation of storytellers where all LA youth are equipped with the tools and resources to effectively and powerfully share their own stories.
