Have you always wanted to write a play? Maybe you want to create a vehicle for yourself to star in? Or polish your one-person show? This workshop will help guide you through the process:

In this 5-week course, you will learn the nuts and bolts of crafting a play with a focus on finding your voice, Aristotle’s five elements of drama, character development, theme, theatrical structure, the rhythms of dialogue, and driving the plot forward.

Each week will consist of writing exercises, play analysis, providing peers with constructive criticism, and receiving feedback on weekly pages to help with revisions. Come with an idea and shape the bones of a first draft, or bring a play you have started and help get it across the finish line.

The class culminates with a finished play being selected and given a live, Zoom reading for friends and family!
