My writing partner, Tony, and I pitched our series about dogs and never sold it. What we kept hearing back was there wasn’t an audience for a show about people and dogs. Especially people who are crazy about there dogs. They were pretty adamant that the average American wasn’t obsessed with their dog.
I give to you, Exhibit A, a conversation with my mother:

Rory has a sore puddie…went to vet on Monday

We think she stepped on a rock or something sharp. It was all raw and bloody but the vet took care of it. Rory kept licking it and making it worse so I had to buy her socks
