Ali is a 2024 MTV Task Force Ambassador for Mental Health Action Day!

Thursday, May 16th is Mental Health Action Day!

In 2021, MTV Entertainment Group, Task Force, and Partners launched the first Mental Health Action Day to shift the culture of mental health. Today, with over 2,000+ partners, brands, and influential speakers, plus millions of individual participants from across 32 countries, this year the focus is on deepening impact.

This year’s Mental Health Action Day is on Thursday, May 16th, and the theme is CONNECTION

MHAD invites you to dedicate 1 hour today, connecting with friends, family, loved ones, neighbors, or other people in your community.

In her 3rd year of being an MTV ambassador, Ali chose to connect with a representative from NAMI, Jolissa Hebard.

Ali also spoke with the award-winning theater group from Lexington, Texas, who performed She’s Not There, Ali’s play about mental illness.

The Lexington High Theater group, led by Cody Church and Kayla Stanley, competed in the UIL district competition with scenes from She’s Not There and won several awards, including Best Actor, Best Actress, All Star Cast and Crew, and First Place Prize.
